Portraits
Selected work
This portfolio brings together black-and-white portraits and studies of form and stillness. I am drawn to quiet tension โ to moments where light simplifies, where gestures become minimal, and where presence speaks louder than expression.
The work is structured in small series. Each series is a focused exploration: a different distance, a different kind of silence, a different relationship between subject and space. If a photograph holds, it is usually because nothing is forced.
Working in series
Each body of work is approached as a contained study. I prefer repetition over variety โ returning to similar gestures, similar light, and similar distances to understand what shifts when time is allowed to pass.
The photographs are not meant to resolve or explain. They remain open, inviting the viewer to slow down and stay with what is present. If there is tension, it comes from restraint rather than from contrast or drama.
